Alan Jahde JD, LL.M. (tax)

Alan is a co-founder of the Littleton, Colorado law firm of Anderson & Jahde, P.C., Alan Jahde’s primary areas of his tax practice include estate tax planning, international income tax planning, captive insurance company formation for alternatives for liability coverage, asset protection planning, foreign life insurance planning, and charitable planning.

For the past 25 years, Alan has developed expertise in the areas of private placement life insurance products, asset protection trusts (US and foreign) and related international structures. His work has been featured in such publications as Business Week, Worth Magazine, Journal of Financial Planning, and Journal of Asset Protection.

Jahde received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Nebraska in 1975, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia in 1979, and an LL.M., Masters of Law in Taxation, from the University of Denver in 1987. He participates as an instructor in the Graduate Tax Program, Continuing Legal Education Division, at the University of Denver and other continuing education sponsors where he lectures on Advanced Estate Planning, Asset Protection Planning, and Life Insurance Planning.

Alan is a member of the Taxation and Trust and Estate Sections of the Colorado Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association including the Real Property and Probate and Trust Section, the Taxation Section, and the ABA’s Law Practice Management Section.
